Abstract:

These procedures cover railroad projects and rail involvement in highway projects for work using federal highway funds administered by INDOT. This includes projects for elimination of hazards at rail-highway grade crossings, and other projects which use railroad properties or involve adjustments to rail facilities due to highway construction . These procedures apply only to railroad work. Where a project also requires a separate highway contract, the highway design, plans and construction shall be done in accordance with the appropriate federal and State requirements and procedures for such work.
